I’ve got a soft spot for the Model 28, that one right there is a superlative example. It has some modern upgrades but hasn’t strayed too far from it’s original form, nice work.
Hopefully you realized I was expressing my strong appreciation for your good work. Have a special fondness for them and that one is extra nice, as I’d suspect you know since you put the time in.
Looking Good Mr. Smith ! I cannot wait to take it home as it has been missed. There is plenty of .38 and .357 ammunition waiting for it. Time to gas it up and burn it down.
It did, thanks! i really like the finish. giving new life to classic guns like this is great. just because they are old, does not mean the are obsolete! I would love to shoot your trigger work back to back with one of my Colt snakes or S&W PC guns. I wouldnt really care who had the better trigger, it would be a great excuse to have a hell of a range day!
Nice job!
I really like that. I want another 28, but everytime I find one, it’s a mess, or, more often, I don’t have the cash on hand to jump on it. My old 28 had an action job and target hammer and trigger. Great gun, mechinically, but cosmetically, it was “challenged” with a lot of holster wear. I regretted selling it almost as soon as I was handed the cash for it.
That Bad Larry could go back into the holster and out on road patrol again.
I’m digging those VZs for square butts. They appear to be slightly lower profile (less stickout below the bottom of the frame) than Ahrends (my current favorites).
I do wish VZ would make their RB grips without grooves.
