Out of curiosity, anyone know entry-level pay for TSA new hires? Do they start at full-time or is this one of those gigs where you have to start part-time with no real benefits? Anyone have a quick synopsis of what the education, age, prior experience, and training requirements might be?
The use of full-body scanners and invasive pat-downs at airports around the U.S. will not change for the “foreseeable future,” Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said in an interview broadcast Sunday.
yeah… i think it’s basically an hourly gig. I had a friend who worked TSA for awhile. (a real good guy actually, i know he was doing his best to screen for real threats while being polite and professional for the rest of us) I think pay and benefits were about average.
