Traded my SIG556 HOLO for a new…

Colt 6520 M4, got a sweet deal at my local gunshop.

Then while awaiting on my paperwork approval, I found an ACOG a TA01NSN new, bought it… :o

Found a Vickers Two-Point Sling in the store, snagged it.

And 1,000 rounds of Federal XM193

Plus a few mags.

Things I found I like about the Colt right off the bat, it’s much lighter than my SIG.

Fit and function is nice and tight.

Finish is beautiful!

Things I didn’t like, miss my CTR stock gotta buy a Mil-Spec one this Friday.

Now I need another one… :eek:

Oh the dreaded Colt bug has now been caught. :slight_smile:

It’s tough to beat a Colt m4 and IMO a SIG556 isn’t the one that’ll do it, nice enough gun, but it’s not a Colt. Enjoy it!

Good choice. I wouldn’t be the first to say that I was disappointed with the 556 when it came out. I was in line to get one until I handled one. Very front heavy and not the 550/551/552 I wanted it to be. It is still a nice rifle, but not for my $1200. The Colt should serve you well.

Not to be the bringer of bad news but the 6520 has a fixed A2 carry handle. Did someone switch the upper?

When I opened the box it was still in its bag from Colt I guess… :confused:

I would go back to the shop as thats not a 6520 unless they stuck a 6920 in the box by mistake and if that is the case no biggie. Can you take a pic of the upper markings, barrel, BCG and the magwell of the AR so we can make sure they didnt bend you over.

Looks like a 6920. The 6520 has a fixed carry handle and indent in the barrel for mounting a launcher.

Post pics as the previous poster said. As long it it’s all Colt you should be good. Most rather have the 6920 over the 6520 anyway.

Did it include the removeable carry handle?

Yep, 9 including the one in the gun, have several more still in the wrapper in my gear bag.

Kinda fell in love with them… built like a tank. :smiley:

I’m gonna call the shop tomorrow and see if something is amiss.

They are good folks, not worried about getting screwed with price, if they made a mistake I’m positive they’ll make it right.

It came with the carry handle, I took it off for the ACOG.

Ah Hell, I found the problem. I got the wrong box.

Gun serial and box serial don’t match.

Will call the shop tomorrow AM.

Gun is a 6920

Check again the box says 6520.

Thats what I ment my bad. The 6520 is the A2 type carry handle upper.
