Good luck with the monster-in-law.
What you do is find out what type of animal or insect she absolutely hates and you suddenly have a “thing” for said animal or insect to keep as a pet. This is how I keep my aunt from staying the night. I also like snakes.
Did that pilot actually bounce the tail hook off the deck?!?
Or be like us and move half way across the country. Not for that reason specifically but we live in an area with great educational and job opportunities. MIL lays the guilt trip why we don’t move to bum**** IN.
or just move to another country ![]()
reality I get along with my inlaws my father in law was a small arms instructor for the UN back when as he says it was not a embarrassment ![]()
We live 15 minutes away from my in laws. However, I’m blessed because they aren’t the meddling types and almost never stop in. We go over to their place more often than they come here.
mine are in Santa Cruz.

The tail never touched the deck . . . those crazy drunk Russians.
When was that? 1953?

The need for speed is a reality.
Yup pretty much ! Hahahaha
I was talking about the “tail hook”, it looks like he somehow bounced it off the deck between two cables.
Ah, well it does appear the hook made contact . . . I’d love to know the back story on that umm aborted landing.
The Youtube caption says the pilot stalled the jet on approach and had to put the spurs to it to keep from cracking up.
But I’m no pilot so I couldn’t say if that explanation fits the evidence.

I keep on watching, but that guy never gets closer to landing. He’s going to run out of fuel soon…
My MIL says she’s not coming back for four years until when my youngest graduates. I had to bite my tongue to keep from asking her that after that she’d never come back.
Just tell her that they keep holding your kid back.
Mine are both dead, but now I’m an “in-law” and trying to put into practice the things I had resolved never to do when my children started to get married.
I can kind of read that both ways… What are you going to put into practice?
