I picked up my Colt that has been having some work done today.
It started out as this:
And now looks like this:
The upgrades on this 1911 are as follows:
Bar-sto barrel and bushing
Wilson Combat trigger
Wilson Combat night sights
Wilson Combat mainspring housing w/magwell
Wilson Combat fitted ambidextrous safety
Wilson Combat slide stop
Wilson Combat fitted beavertail safety
Wilson Combat hammer
Trigger job at a crisp 3.5
Duracoat black
Series 70 conversion
I am beside myself with how beautiful this 1911 turned out. The work was performed by the Scottsdale Gun Club.

Very nice! That Colt looks great. Let us know how it shoots.
Thank you gentlemen. I will be focusing on my G19 over the next couple of weeks but I will post one as soon as I get a chance.
Awesome gun. How can you pick it up at SGC and not blast away, right away?
Congrats on the nice piece.

Nice touch. Way to keep it clean.
Oh I did put down 100 rounds after picking her up.
Thing is that money is a little short after buying a case of .223, a case of 9mm, a 03 MSF, insight flashlight, you get the idea.

Holy crap! You looking to adopt a brother that is also a fellow firearms enthusiast
LOL, don’t have the room, sorry. Trust me, this hasn’t been easy, I foresee a lot of Ramen this month.
That’s one of fine looking Colt. Lots of nice upgrades. How’s it shoot now?
Like I mentioned, I put 100 rounds down range after picking her up. The duracoat was a little fresh and there wasn’t much lube on her, so there were a few FTF’s. Not sweating it, she is dripping wet now and shouldn’t create too many issues.
As far as accuracy, I only shot at the 7 yd line but was impressed with the accuracy.
I need to perform a more in-depth range report later on this month.
ETA: Welcome to M4C!

I totally know how that is! I ate ramen for 5 months straight when I picked up a Springer TRP and Loaded… I will never do that again, what am I kidding, I know I would do that again in a heart beat
