i live in Fl. can i un-pin a pinned stock.

i have a chance to get a stock from a ban state. the stock is pinned in the second slot. i cant drill the pin out, can i? and stay legal.

Yes Florida did not keep the AWB that sunset in 2004 .you can have all the evil features you want

i knew that florida didnt keep the ban. i just wasnt sure if i could get in trouble for making a pinned stock into an unpinned one. thank you.

does anyone know how a stock is pinned? is there just a hole drilled into it and a pin tapped in?

Some pinned stocks were non functional even after unpinning.
Best thing to do would be take the whole thing off and replace it.

The stock on my MT6400C is not able to be un-pinned. The tube has no holes for it to be adjustable once you take the pin out and I think it’s longer (filling the length of the stock at the position it’s at). It definitely just needs to be replaced - I don’t know about the one you’re getting, but that’s my experience with a pinned stock.

thank you.
i emailed the seller with a few questions. by looking at the pic of the stock it looks like a hole was drilled horizontally through the receiver extension tube and the stock, and a pin was installed.

I can’t say I have ever seen one pinned like that:confused:as others have stated I would spend the extra Money and get one that is GTG.if you do drill that out in the place where is is and not seal the holes well, trash could get into you buffer tube.on the TOS EE there is a lot of Colt stocks off 6920 that pop up for sell a good prices.Just buy right or you will buy twice ,I learned that the hard way myself :frowning: ,Good luck:D

thank you, i just ordered a new MOE stock kit.
