I just bought two Sig MPX PISTOLS, you ?

Okay okay okay, easy on the hate. I didn’t buy one yet. But did any one. I have never, owned a Sig firearm. I think they make some decent stuff, just never bought one.

These MPX , MP5 wanna be guns look interesting. Every review I have seen, the guy was surprised. Just wondered if any one other than inter web commandos actually bought one and loved or hated it.

If these bad boys run, I will buy one. But they gotta run and run and run.

Anybody.

All the best for a big weekend.

So you didn’t buy jack then?

I shot one last October at Sig Sauer Academy. It was very nice. I got a full demo of the break down, caliber conversion, barrel change stock change ect. Very nice, very fun. i’ll be picking one up shortly.

I’m waiting for the Gen2 guns that should be released later this year, perhaps in the K configuration with 4.5" barrels. There are several reasons why I’m waiting which include:

  1. I NEVER buy a gun within the first year of release. 99% of platforms have teething issues in the first year

  2. These initial release Gen1 guns will not be compatible with future caliber conversions. These are 9mm only guns. Not a big deal to me since I’m a 9mm guy, but I like having the flexibility.

  3. The current Gen1 guns are having issues with the charging handle marring the upper receiver when people use it to release the bolt. The reason for this seems to be excessive play in the charging handles movement that causes it to slap the receiver. So far, Sig has been tight lipped about whether this will be fixed in future generations.

  4. The compact K version (4.5" barrel) is likely going to be released in a couple of months. Sig may introduce the new Gen2 guns with the K rollout or it may happen a little later. Either way, I like the K length.

What he said

No, I didn’t buy Jackson, but I’m on the wait till the second iteration comes around team. The platform has promise. I’ll SBR mine, for sure. And I’ll use a stock They will polish out a few minor glitches, make some improvements and I’m ALL OVER ONE OF THESE.

Nothing my current SBR won’t do, but still I want a 9! Sig stepped up on this one. I would love to see HK RESPOND AND BUILD A BETTER MP5 per se. And put more MP(

Misleading thread is misleading.

So what is this all about? Nothing?

Ok. Thanks.

This is retarded

Zzzzzzz:lazy2:

I want one of these, too. What’s the deal between the MPX and the MPX-P? Just a stock? Can you add the stock later to the MPX-P?

I was hot for one of these but Sig has the $300 stocks backordered 6 months and mags are non-existent. Mags are over $100 apiece on GB right now. Being 1000-1500 into mags kind of offsets any ammo savings vs just using a 9" aac blackout upper for something super quiet, suppressed sbr.

K model w/folding stock in .45 would have me buying several.

Sounds like the market needs to smooth out for a year or so. So, can you just add a stock to the MPX-P to make it, essentially, an MPX?

Yeah if you can find one.

i did. and regretted it, like the others said, wait till they fix it. then buy one.

it will be worth it…

but one warning. if you plan on shooting it suppressed … just don’t buy it… get the scorpion evo.

the gas to the face is so ridiculous you’ll hate it after one mag.

I had an early one. Trigger pins walked every 50/100rnds resulting in random auto fire. Never fed right either. SIG fixed the pin issues but couldn’t get it to feed reliably. Dumped it for a Scorpion EVO with no regrets.

Gen 2 MPX’s with KeyMod rails are now on GB. I say Gen 2 because a listing describes it as such with a larger ejection port to accommodate 40SW and 357Sig calibers.

They have both pistol and carbine (with telescoping stocks) lengths. I have no idea if these Gen2 models address some of the Gen 1 issues such as charging handle slap marring the upper, walking pins, or poor upper-lower fit.

I did bullets and bandages (Awesome Class taught by Kerry Davis of Dark Angel Medical) at Sig Sauer Academy this past weekend and one of the guys that runs the pro shop and has other responsibilities that deal with demoing new guns to vendors/agencies said he had no idea when the Gen 2 MPX would be available…

I just spoke to Mike at Sig customer service who verified that these KeyMod versions are indeed Gen2 and capable of caliber conversions. This was an initial small release of Gen2 MPX-P’s and C’s (16" barrel with collapsing stock). More Gen2’s are on the way.
