Due to ammo shortage in SD ammo I have only this three choices in 9mm ammo at this time for my Glock 26 and Glock 19.
They are:
Magtech Gold 115 +P, Gold Dot 115 and Golden Saber 147. Which one of this would Doc GKR recommend?
My favorite ammo is the Gold Dot 124+P or the Ranger 127+P+ but I can not find any of them.
The 147gr Golden Saber, then the 115gr Gold Dot.

It is the Golden Saber thank you, but I wanted to make sure that it was as good from a G26 as it is from the G19 or G17.

The 147gr GS is obviously on the list, but what is driving the ammo restriction to those three? Are you LEO and that’s all your department offers?
No that is all I can find in the Seattle Police Range store where I am a 34 year life member. My two favorite loads the Gold Dot 124 +P or the Ranger 127 +P+ are non existent anywhere.
I wouldnt have an issue with the 147 Golden Saber load but I would also look to buy online you can find just about anything if you dont mind waiting some.
we Don’t see much of the ammo listed here in Alabama ,But when you do it is priced crazy(20rd Box of Gold dot 45 230g almost 40 bucks:rolleyes:). I started Ordering ammo Online and have found a few Good deals .Still No 380 But I am carrying a HK 45c .So 45 is easier to find .Also check TOS in the EE a lot of people have begun to sell off their Hoards Of ammo. and some are Not out to rape you in price and shipping,
I don’t do Magtech. I had a bad experiance many years ago. I don’t know if they fixed their QC issue, but…
So it is up to Gold Dot 115 and Golden Saber 147.
I like 147gr better than 115gr.
I like Gold dot better than Gold Saber.

I think either will do fine as long as you do your part.
After over 42 years shooting every type of gun and ammo / caliber combination I shoot everything equally well, my favorite loads in 9mm are the Gold Dot 124+P or the Ranger 127+P+ but I can not find them anywhere and until I do I am settled with the Golden Saber 147’s.
How does the gun shoot them?
Is one more accurate than the other?
Is one more reliable than the other?
I would think after 42 years of shooting you would learn to buy it cheap and stack it deep.
They are all accurate within the combat accuracy parameters, they all are reliable because I have a Glock 19 and a Glock 26.
To stack them deep is based on the economy, I had them stacked deep in 40 caliber and 45, but now I switched to 9mm which I had no SD ammo for because I had no 9mm carry guns and it is hard to buy 20 rounds for 20 to 30 dollars and stack them deep.;)
