I had not planned on any more builds, BUT...

Last year a section of my unit decided to order rifles.
I went in on a stripped lower.
They were marked with the unit’s symbol.

Have not placed the optic on yet, will simply be an Aimpoint PRO.

Went with polymer ARMS 71 sights, got a pair for next to nothing.

I wanted a VLTOR like stock, but not quite…
so am giving the ACS-L a try.

PSA premium M16 BCG.

I had also planned on a 18 inch build, rifle length, CHF, but just said to heck with it and went with a 16 inch m4 profile melonite CL gas with a 1:9 twist.

I really like the JP rail, was going to try a troy, but decided to give a MWI a try. I like it, for the small grip, but don’t like it for getting hot and the top rail really sticks off that size tube.

FH is a Phantom QD for a can.

May try a Raptor or other similar CH.

Looks sweet, I too found the MI hand guard to get pretty warm during heavy use but I like the way it feels in the hand

I said the same thing two builds ago. My FFL guy say I have a “problem”!

I think many of us have a couple of problems.

They are:

  1. Catching up and getting all zeros, accessories, etc. sorted out on all the builds.
  2. Having enough time to rotate between carbines for range time.
  3. Wanting to both hoard and shoot tons of ammo at the same time.
  4. Having affairs with other platforms, handguns, etc. at the same time
