I was able to snag one of the BCM 16’ uppers last week!! Hooray for me! I have a question without starting a war. I need BUIS to go on it. I will be usinf a Comp M3 with a Larue cantilever mount. I like the idea of a flip up that will be out of the war unless needed. I as alwas value everyone’s input. Also I want a short verticle grip to mount on the DD Omega 7.0 rail. I was looking at the tango down and the larue (pros and cons to both)
If you are set on a folding BUIS I would go with the Troy Ind. They are pretty much the gold standard for folders.
If you don’t have a variable power optic or since you are using an Aimpoint, not using a magnifier, I recommend a fixed BUIS. I use the Larue rear sight and have shot with a LMT. Just in case my Aimpoint goes down I don’t want to mess with a folder.
For a short VG either the TD or Larue will serve you well. Both are quality kit. I use both and I don’t have a favorite either way.
Thanks for the input. I may add a magnifier in the future so I do want a flip up just in case.
+1 for Troy BUIS
Wonder how one is able to maneuver a sixteen foot length BCM? ![]()
+2 for the Troy.
My timing was right & I picked up one of their 16" M4 uppers as well on the last run. I’m going old school with it. M4 stock, M4 handguard, & detachable carry handle. Should be in it complete for about a grand!
Just glad my trigger finger works better than my shift finger. 16"
I just got mine delivered yesterday. I also picked up a DD Omega rail.
I like Troy but if you want good for less check out the Magpul MBUS. I just picked up a set and a half and so far really like them.
BCM now has a BUIS made by Troy with BCM logo on it.
Might look cool on your BCM upper???
Another vote for the Troy here.
I got mine in the mail last night. :D. The quality difference between this and my Del-Ton is unbelievable. I am glad for the advice I got here. Now just waiting for Grant to get the lowers in.
i have an MI SPLP and really like it.
