I have always loved my Sigs, DA/SA and DAK. My current 226 Dark Elite 9mm had a heavy but smooth trigger. 12lb 14oz DA and 4lb 8 SA. I found a Wolf 3 pak reduced weight main springs at Brownell’s. I knew 20 lb was standard factory so I first installed the 18 lb and lowered DA pull to 12lb 2oz. Swapped for the 17lb spring and DA pull is now 10lb 2 oz average. SA pull is still 4lb 6oz. I am happy today… The 3 pack had a 19, 18 and 17lb reduced weight mainsprings.

My WELL used 239 9mm has a 9lb 8oz DA and 4lb 4oz SA.

SIG 226 will always be my favorite pistol. Excellent choice. I never felt the need to replace the standard factory springs, but if it improves the shootability of the gun, then more power to you.

Have you tried it for function/light primer strikes? 10 lb is a much better DA weight if it runs with the new spring.
