Huge stash of 9mm defects to pull down

Pappabear got 2 50 cans full of 147 gr Blue bullets reloads that have a large percentage with NO powder charge.

I’ll be pulling these down for the next year or so. But for Free projos and primed brass, it’s worth the effort.

I bought an extra hammer and we’re going to try the Frankford “Pile Driver” too.

The Pile Driver is what you want to use.

Good problem to have!

I need to find this deal but with .308 instead of 9mm

I’ve done about 300-400 with the hammers. The pile driver is so loud, I need to use it outside when the weather is cooler.

LOL,yea the PD is crazy loud but it works great! Ya need to make sure ya mount it up high enough so ya don’t have to bend over but I’m sure you figured that out. I really haven’t used mine that much but it does work good.

I used it for one round and had to stop. It was like shooting without ear pro. I thought my neighbors would think I was shooting in my house.

I’ll definitely use ear protection with the Pile Driver. But I use ear pro with the hammers too if I’m doing more than one round.

I’ve got to ask. How in the world did someone load that many cartridges without powder?

I don’t know for sure. Seems like one of those lazy assholes who automated a Dillon or something. I was told it was some match h0m0 here in AZ. Pappabear knew the guy’s name and asked if I’d heard of him, but I had not.

Aside from the over 90% no powder, I pulled a handful of other defects. Backwards primers, etc.

I think you can still use the powder check die (alarm) with a Dillon with the motorizing kit. He must have done something really stupid.

Really dumb. I can’t imagine. I need to get back to pulling this stuff down.

I load more slowly and eyeball every powder charge. If I ran dry, I might have to pull down 1 or 2 cartridges at worst.
