How to Zero a Matech BUIS on a 16" barrel AR

On the Matech BUIS instruction, it gives two ways to zero.

For M4, you click the range knob to 300 meter mark, shoot at 25 yds, and get your zero.

For M16A4, you click the range knob to the line between 300 and 400, shoot at 25 yds, and get your zero.

Since I have a 16" civilian M4gery, which mark do I use to zero the rifle.

Also, I shoot M855, if this bit of info helps.

Thanks.

I’d roll with the 25/300m instructions and confirm at 100/200/300 if you can. That’s the only way to truly know if it is on.

use the m4 directions. the sight radius on a standard civ 16" carbine and the m4 are the same, the velocity difference between the 14.5 and 16 barrels is negligible.

Oh yeah, should’ve know that!

Thank you for both of you! I have an Aimpoint on its way and will go zero it once I receive it!

Since I use the IBZO (50/207), I set mine to 200, zero at 50 and recheck at 25, 150, 200 and 250 to verify. This has worked for me with both 16" and 12.5" barrels.

Just use the factory instructions , i zeroed fine with my 16"
