too dang much and all up front!
any idea on the weight?
A couple of pounds.
cmon guys… you never weigh your carbine? or wondered how much it weigh?
I think my 6920 with 28 rounds, sling, and aimpoint is like 7.5 lbs.
Nope…nope! ![]()
As far as I’m concerned all my weapons fit into these two weight classes:
However, I’m much more concerned with overall balance than absolute weight. Light weight doesn’t mean much if it doesn’t balance well.

I haven’t weighed the “normal” ones, but this one’s 5.2 lbs.:

I weighed one of my carbines and it tips the scales at about 10-11lbs, depending on what’s on it. It’s a big boy though, with 13.2 rail and UBR. (Though its only a 14.5" m4 profile barrel)
Colt 6920 w/ rail
EOTech 553
Sling with QD attachments front and rear
3x magnifier on LaRue Pivot mout
Flashlight wit mount on rail
Stock Saddle
maybe a few small upgrades
10lbs even!
Have a few lowers to build on, those will be lighter.
rob,
What kind of muzzle device is that on your AK? Wish I could make it out a little better…
is it a heavy barrel 14.5in?
7.5 pounds as pictured.

nice setup.
what barrel? 12.5in skinny barrel?
Thanks! It’s a lightweight profile 14.5" middy with a permanently attached flash hider.
how come it weighs the same as mine. mine is a govt profile. maybe the longer rails?

I dunno. The Omega is only listed @ 9.7 ounces.
Here are some pics on the scale. It doesn’t weigh past 6 pounds, so I have to break the upper and lower apart. :o
