How many people here put a have emphasis on water?

How many people here put a heavy emphasis on water? I see a lot of threads about weight loss. And it’s funny because I’ve been a big believer in drinking just water to keep weight off, and I don’t really see anybody recommending cutting out sugary artificial drinks. And for anybody here who puts a serious emphasis on their water. Do yall filter your water in any way. I ask simply to see if anybody has found an easy way to filter out chlorine, fluoride and other undesirable trash from your water. Also Im asking about this to look for solutions, because I look at me body like a high performance race car. If you put crappy fuel in it you wont get stellar performance.

Water !! All the time, filter it at home. Made a berky, and coffee too. Once in awhile a French vanilla when I’ve been good lol.

I try to drink 3 L per day at least.

Coffee in the am and a La Crois in place of pop/sugary drinks.

Most convenient I’ve found is to put a good quality reverse osmosis filter and tank system at the sink. Not terribly expensive, and you always have clean water ready. We also travel with a Berkey and fill up water containers overnight when stopped.

I drink 1.5 gal+ of water by 3:30pm everyday at work.

Just know that cause I take my water with me. After work I just drink water but not at the same rate.

If my water bottle is with me I’m drinking water.

We have a nice reverse osmosis system with a tap on the sink.

BTW if you fill a container with water and let it sit the Cl2 will dissipate.

Reverse osmosis seems to be one the best ways. Do you mean that the “Cl2” type of Chlorine will dissipate and become non toxic.

Atleast 1 gallon plus per day for me. Tap, city, or bottle. Whatever is available as I’m not to picky about it but maybe I should be, idk.

I put a big emphasis on hydration, not a big emphasis on water per se. Studies also show people tend to drink more fluids if it has some flavor to it, and that’s the case for me for sure. I tend to drink far more if it has a little flavor of some kind. If I’m out in the heat and will be sweating a lot, I’ll make sure I have plenty of water, but otherwise, coffee (no, it does not cause water loss), diet ice tea, water, and or combinations there of, cover my fluid recs. Water quality wise, a short write up on the topic with link to the 10 stage water filter I use HERE

Yes Cl2 is chlorine. Sorry I’m in municiple water so I use that a lot.

I drank over a gal a day of city tap water for well over 13 years before my wife decided we had to buy a water softener and reverse osmosis last year.

I have heard RO water can draw minerals out of your system as it contains none. I used to drink nothing but RO water ( when I drank water ) for years. I developed kidney stones after my late 50s. I can tell you one thing… if you ever find yourself with a kidney stone in a survival situation you are going to be in a very bad situation if it’s not able to be passed, which many are not. My urologist says it’s 90% hydration and he agrees, drink anything, but drink. I think the rule of thumb is don’t let your pee get to where it’s yellow. Something just more shaded than clear. If you plan your late night drinking even the next morning will still be very light but you won’t have to get up in the middle of the night. It depends on your size but 8oz before you hit the sheets may be enough.

I’ve been trying to decide what sort of filter to buy next and figured I would get a Berky

Wow… You would think that the dirty water filter was filtering lake water. Interesting, but Im not surprised. As most local water supplies are low quality. That was an interesting write up.

I keep a water bottle near me all day long and drink tons of water every day. Some bottled, some from the sink and some is mineral water like Pellegrino or Topo Chico.

I am big on sparkling mineral waters - buy them by the case. I probably down at least 2-3 bottles a day. I also bring a 32oz jug out on the tennis court and have a Camelback that I use on my mt. bike.

It is hot here…deathly hot and humid and yes…I am big on water/hydration. Gave up all soft drinks many years ago and I cannot tell you how that has helped my overall health.

If not water, I am drinking coffee or maybe a craft beer or two on the weekend. I rarely drink anything else.

I’m like a crack head on sweet TEA lolo
Down here in sc we love our sweet tea ICE COLD !!
I lost 57lbs in 6 months by just drinking water ONLY !!!
As soon as I start back on sugar in my coffe and tea I’ll put it right back on.
As far as filter NOPE , we live 20 miles out in the high ground and we drink well water from a pump that’s 215ft deep . Does that make it clean NO but it’s good and it has no smell at all !!

I filter my water with coffee in the morning, a water filter in the afternoon, and I drink water filtered by Budweiser in the evening. So yes I drink water all day, and have a few filtering methods that work for me.

Its good to see many of yall focusing on your water. I see so many people who are struggling with nutrition drink soda after soda, among other things. And people who talk about striving to excel in sports, not give two cent’s about their hydration and the quality there of.

The diet sodas are really no better.

I used to drink diet sodas and I swear they made me hungry and gave me headaches. After I gave them up…I feel tons better and would never go back to drinking them.

You almost never see thinner or fit people drinking diet sodas…there are reasons for that.

Most of these “energy drinks” and sports drinks are nothing but sugar…water is best if you ask me.

I’m fit, young, and healthy. I don’t really give a **** about sugar or aspartame or anything.

That said, I was never the type to really drink tons of soda. I might have had 5 a week. Never
More than 10. But I did stop drinking soda/sugary drinks a year ago completely for the financial benefit. It’s anywhere from $1.80-2.75 every time you eat out, plus $20 a month or something to stock the fridge. And I am a “light” soda drinker.

I don’t miss it at all, but I do keep a case in the fridge most of the time. Sometimes you just want something to get a bad taste out of your mouth. But I bought a case of 12 about 2 weeks ago and I think I’ve had 3.

Diet soda’s are still pretty bad. I do drink the occasional sugar-free energy drinks (Redbull or Rockstar) since its sugar free and zero carbs. Basically a bunch of caffeine, B-vitamins, and some chemicals.

I do drink plenty of water during the day. even at night I have a glass/bottle of water next to the bed.

Water (lots), black coffee, a few beers here and there, and the occassional coconut water are all I drink. I’d say 80% spring water and 20% unfiltered tap. Guess it’s time to start looking at filters.

You really have to watch the coconut waters. Many are touting this as some sort of miracle hydration liquid but the labels I have read on many have them almost as chiock full of sugar as many soft drinks.
