Just curious as to how many AR’s the members own and if they plan on buying more. I have two, with one on order and debating about another.
I’ve got two, my GP carbine and my Tac-Sol .22. I want two more, an SBR and a precision rig. I’d also like to get a spare upper to swap in and out with the .22 upper so it can be a complete trainer/loaner/backup package.
I have another Colt 6920 on order and still debating whether to get the Noveske N-4 or an ADC Piston upper & LMT lower (Leaning very heavy in the ADC direction).
2 Colts 6920 6400C
1 Colt/LMT combo 20" HBAR upper…LMT lower
1 BM
1 build project…lower only.
Two GPs (POF & LWRC 6.8); three standard M4s (Colt;CMMG;AA 6.5); M16A4 clone.
Mainly concentrating now on getting uppers (Noveske; BCM; Sabre; LMT) and LMT lowers.
Would like to score a KAS SR-15 E3 IWS, but I’ve got to many projects going on now, including another FAL from DSA.
I currently own 2, but I plan on getting more. I will be increasing the rate at which I am purchasing for fear of what will happen in November.
Currently I own:
1 KAC SR-15 E3 IWS
1 Bushmaster Arm Pistol (OK, so it’s not an AR, but it’s sorta the bastard child…)![]()
I’m waiting on ATF transfer of a Colt LE6933 that has been worked over by Specialized Armament Warehouse (SAW)-11.5" 1/9 HBAR.
Plan on purchasing another 6933 from SAW, a LMT (or two) and possibly a Noveske before I’m done with factory rifles.
Plan on building at least two, maybe three, with one of them in the 6.5G variant.
I have my go to LMT with aimpoint riding on top, A1 Bushmaster with a Magput stocked lower I want to add a different upper to, and looking to get an extra stripped lower in a few weeks just to stash away.
Too many.
and are we counting stripped lowers as rifles?
Does the A.T.F. make a distinction between frames and complete rifles?
Two complete rifles (6920 and CDDLEM4) for myself and my lovely bride (I just gave her my 6920 as her birthday present). I’d like two more. Probably another CDD (for her) and then an LMT (form me).
6 complete AR’s, 13 stripped lowers. Too much is just enough!![]()
Just complete rifles for now. You guys with all the lowers would have yourselves a serious small arsenal if and when you get all your parts. You could arm the neighborhood or at least quite a few friend. Time to start doing movement to contact and IADs.![]()
Many of my lowers will probably never be complete. I like to pick them up here and there to compare forgings and flash and magwell bevels and that kind of thing.
Just got activated so this is my first post here. I’m a newbie to AR’s as I got my first one this spring and caught BRD. Before that - never thought I would own one. Now have 3.
First was a S&W M&P-15T
Then got a S&W OR for a truck and tractor gun
Then I walk in my local dealer and he says “I’ve got a Colt 6920 coming in today and you need to see it”. Sold.
Really thinking hard about another 6920 before this election. Worst case I’ve got it before it gets banned, best case I just have another one.
IF Osama wins, & IF more stuff gets banned, I figure the lowers are going to be the part you can’t get. I imagine you could still mail order uppers & accessories after a ban. I piled up on lowers this year just in case. Worst case is I have enough lowers to build just about any configuration AR I wanted in the future. I feel a little paranoid as a Californicator that a new ban could pop up at any time. I wasn’t prepared for the last ban & got burned. I won’t let it happen again.
all of mine are franken builds…so far 7 in total. lowers are various brands, RRA, Bushmaster, POF, Double Star.
4 have Noveske uppers - three N4s and one SPR VIS
1 has a LMT upper
1 BCM middy upper (in progress…waiting on the BCG)
1 KISS build, A1 upper with M4 bbl (in progress…need lots of parts)
yeah i know…its too many ARs. they’re just so much fun
More than I need, less than I want.
I’m here researching my first one. Leaning heavily towards Noveske N4.
3 right now, including a 9MM. I had deal on an LMT lower assembly from a guy on Arfcom, but he backed out. ![]()
