Wondering if the new format is useful for those on phones, it sorta sucks on a desktop.

I use an iPhone… specifically the DiscourseHub app. It SUCKS!
Well, I like the way I can see number of new posts, tap on the forum and see the new posts. I like it better than the Fora app, since I can mark threads read.
Shy of that, browsing the forum in the app sucks! Ads make it difficult. The “chat” can’t even be viewed because of the ads making it hard to scroll the chat. Images for the forum, whatever is on the banner to the left corner of the page… doesn’t even load.
I’ve always gone here to review info on threads… I feel that is a huge part of a forum. With the trash layout of the forum right now, I have zero desire to visit. Like I’m literally trying to stay on here… but the app/forum is THAT bad!
Even more… I type this out… and cannot find the post button. Like seriously… was this app even tried on an iPhone prior to submitting it? I had to pinch/zoom out for the bottom reply line to appear.

Yeah, that really was the forums strength. If I wanted to know about something firearms related, I asked here. If it all goes away because of a crappy format, it will be terrible.

These days I am viewing the forum on a phone.
On a Samsung tablet here. Seems ok.
Yes, it sucks on a desktop which is what I use to view internet forums. I have no earthly idea why anyone would adopt this format over the forum’s previous format. Everything was much more easily viewable and findable on the forum’s previous format. I have been meaning to start a thread on why the new setup is problematic, but have not had the time or inclination.
I honestly think that this new format will turn this forum into a ghost town. Why would anyone want to buy this forum just to turn it into a ghost town?

I’m either on my IPhone or IPad…not liking the new website very much as my notifications and this new formatting seems more cumbersome to navigate
Rarely, if ever, here on a handheld device. Notebook.

Phones suck for anything other than talking and looking @ stupid shit. I’m old and a PC guy 110%. My reason is why would I want to look at anything like a Forum of any type on a 3-inch screen when I can look at it on my 34-inch monitor, LOL. As much as I love(ed) this place looking @ it on my phone is at the bottom of my list.

Laptop here. If I had to type out a well thought out response to anything on a phone I’d just unalive myself.

The Forum responds faster now. The crowded interface and navigation is the biggest issue here.

I try not to do anything for personal use on my work computer, and because I’m on that so much I rarely use my personal PC.
So except on rare occasions I’m viewing from my phone.
I am on an android. Sucks compared to many other forums i am on
Desktop - little screens only when nothing else available.
