I just bought a aimpoint and bought a burris mount for it for now thats all i can afford, How well are the burris mounts.
Are you talking about mounting the aimpoint in a burris XTR ring? I’ve been doing that and it works perfectly fine for me. What aimpoint are you using? I am using the burris rings primarily since I have a 9000sc, so I was pretty limited in finding rings that could get the optic up high enough. If you using an aimpoint that uses a single ring, I would guess a burris ring would work, but it might not hurt to save up for a larue or adm mount.
IT is a AIMPOINT comp c3 in a burris tactical mount.
The LT, ADM, GG&G, and Bobro mounts all have nice added features, but the XTR rings have the same functionality as the MI mounts just about, so you should be fine.
Unless you’re using your carbine as an entrenchment tool, they’re more than adequate.
I have an ML3 in a Burris XTR ring. Ran it on an ultimak on a Arsenal 106 for a while with no issues and it cowitnessed with the irons.
