Well, there I was, just completed assembling my barrel to my upper, when I saw a small blob of anti-seize peeking out from the barrel nut. So I go to remove it and bump against the rifle, flicking the silver anti-seize onto my lower. I wiped away what I could, but there’s still a silver smudge left behind.
Not that it’s a big deal, but I’d like to get rid of the reminder of my clumsiness. I can’t think of anything that will remove it. If anyone can suggest some way of eliminating the smudge, I’d appreciate it.
I’m going to try the acetone, since I have plenty of that which I never use. In the meantime, I tried one of those white, tube-type, pencil erasers, and that removed most of it. The only problem is it won’t reach into corners, so the acetone on a rag should take care of that.
I can’t think of anything that will remove it. If anyone can suggest some way of eliminating the smudge, I’d appreciate it.
