When I made a gallery, it didn’t work at first, so I made another one. Now they all show up in the same gallery. It’s only 3 photos, but all three show up twice. I want to delete the 3 duplicates, but if I click on the Edit Album and Edit Pictures links, I get the following message.

I made the gallery several months ago, and still get the same error messages when trying to edit the album. The Upload Pictures link is there twice, and both work.
There have already been threads on this topic. It’s been like this for quite a while now. I’ve asked in the other threads, but those posts have always gone unanswered. I wouldn’t hold out much hope that it’s going to be fixed any time soon.
I looked for threads on this subject, but didn’t find any. Must be a very low to no priority. It would be nice to see the option to edit your Gallery work or just remove the option to create a Gallery all together. I doubt many people use it anyway. You can’t see the number of views or comment on the photos either.
Here are two other threads about problems with photo albums. I understand that it’s probably not a priority, but I agree with you that if the forum is going to offer this feature then it should work. Otherwise just disable it altogether. The most frustrating part to me though is that these threads haven’t even gotten the courtesy of a response in a long time. I don’t see why (at the very least) someone in the know couldn’t at least make a post saying they have too much going on to worry about it (or whatever the case may be).
Yes, it would be nice if someone in the know would at least post an answer. vBulletin is quite a powerful forum software, and one would think it would only take a few minutes to fix, but a few years ago I did some reading in the vBulletin manual, and management of the forum software can be quite complicated, and much of it was over my head, so hats off to those that keep this forum running, but fixing it or removing the option would be nice. Do many people actually look at others photo albums anyway when there are so many threads where people showcase their toys?
Yeah I’m sure it would be way over my head as well. There are actually a few other features I would like to see enabled here aside from repairing or removing the photo gallery feature. (imbed YouTube videos in posts, enable the quick reply feature, and enable spoiler tags) However, it was recently posted in another thread that they’re moving over to all new servers so maybe some of those things might be in store in the future.
I’ve also have this problem for several months now and I just tried to edit my album again now that the site has moved over to a new server but I still get the same data base error. Do any of the Mods have any idea if there is a fix or is it something that they aren’t worried about?
It didn’t even occur to me that the site upgrade might fix this problem, but I just tried it and it still doesn’t work. I still get the Database Error.
Nothing has changed. I can create albums and upload photos, but can not do anything else, so why bother. I can also report inappropriate photos. Everything works except the option to edit the albums. Most threads in this section of the forum seem to get attention from mods or admins, but not this thread and this subject.
As I said before, the photo albums must be a very low to no priority. Specially since only two other people have participated in this thread since I started it two months ago. I created my gallery last March and waited to say anything to see if it got fixed, but it’s been like waiting for the economy to be fixed. Seems like it should be fixed or removed altogether.
Cool. I fixed my Album. Removed the duplicates and put up some new ones. Wish there was a way to change the order in which the photos appear, but it’s very nice to see it working.
