Anyone remember where it peaked last time we had these crazy mark-ups on ammo? What was the top price per 1000 for bulk 55 grain. Also, anyone remember the maximum delay time on an order? I.e. how many weeks back-ordered did it get? I really wasn’t buying bulk at the time, sorta sat on what I had and didn’t really keep track. Any ideas?
In 2008? I remember paying $330 / case for Brown Bear 55gr at a LGS and was tickled to death that I found any.
9mm was non-existent. I would stop in Walmart on the way to work at 5AM to scrounge the pallets in the isle and see if the overnight shipment had brought any. Guy at the counter said it always sold before it got the shelf warm.

It’s really no big deal… Imbeciles are just running the price up for the rest of us NON-retards… but supply ALWAYS catches up.
I have a feeling this time around it’s going to be a lot slower to do so though. I’m building up my reloading component stash yet again, as a safe gurad, another case of MG 55 FMJs and 5K primers.

I feel bad for my 870 then, I just barley got thing, and I am probably close to 1,000 rounds on it, that is a lot for me. But Remington ammo for 5.35 for a box 25 is good.

Probably the WORST thing about the last “ban” was watching peoples’ compliance to such nonsense.
There were gutless turds threading barrels on their ARs the day after it expired. Pretty sad indication of the American Spirit.
Call me a gutless turd all you want, but what’s on the end of the barrel of my AR is rather low on the list of important things in my life.

I’m not exactly sure what you mean here, but if you are implying they should’ve built guns that were non-compliant and risk felony charges I don’t think you will find many here agree with you.
Sure, there will be some who build firearms to leave in a safe never to be seen by the public, and therefore they will not be concerned with the law. Many here, however, frequent public ranges and although we do not favor any sort of AWB, we would not risk our freedom or put our families through such turmoil as to have their loving husband, father, brother, sister etc. etc. behind bars over a threaded barrel, bayonet lug or collapsing stock.
Now, if I completely misread your post I offer my sincerest apologies for my ignorance and will gladly reprimand this bottle of Johnnie Walker Black for speaking out of term.

I didn’t have one single AWB compliant AR during the last ban. We had fag sticks running around milling off bayo studs on perfectly good FSBs. Fukking PATHETIC.
none of my rifles fell in line with the AWB I even added a Folding stock on My AK during the Ban .I even shot with a few LE None of which understood or even cared for that matter about the ban much less trying to enforce it as I posted before they said “IT DOES NOT HELP WITH CRIME”
All I can say is the some shops and website take advantage of this situation and is not good for the buyer, like for me I was considering buying in CTD but seeing those prices, I never will.
They played the same game in '08 too. That’s when they lost me as a perspective customer and I’ve never considered shopping there since.
