Hornady TAP brass?

Hi there everyone. Got a question for ya:


Does anyone have about 10 pieces of this brass in .223 that they are willing to part with? I am making FireSteel handles and they would work perfectly

Is what you are looking for on the above page? Basically you are looking for nickle plated brass?

Negative. I’m not sure how long ago it was, but the brass used to be a “Black Nickel” color, for lack of a better description. See the picture in my first post?

Understood. I was having a hard time IDing the brass…wasn’t sure if it was the lighting or not…hence I looked on their website to see if a better photo was available. Good luck in your quest! :slight_smile:

IIRC the reason Hornaday switched to nickle was because the black nickle rubbed off to easily over time. Sure you still wish to use it for a handle if that’s the case?

Ya, it’s fine. It just looks cool now. The casing is mainly just a useful handle. If it rubs off, so be it! :laugh:
