I sent this off to Mr. Hooper to inlet my stock for his DBM. I also had him do the bolt re-enforcement and add side flush cups. I needed this back quickly so we didn’t do the Cerakote yet on the bolt/barreled action. Will do that later on and maybe the stock.
Real happy with the work, nice inlet and painless install. I went with the low pro release lever, you can see his site for additional pics of the options. Great guy to deal with.
+1 on Hooper Ordnance - sent a high-end 10/22 action and barrel to him for iron sight prep/install and he did great work. Took awhile because he had to order a special mill bit for the dovetail cut on the bull barrel. Communication was good throughout and pricing was very reasonable considering some shops would not even take the work. Was well worth it and I highly recommend him.
No problem at all, let me know if you need any advice. The LTR is a very good choice for a multi tasker. I doubt you will be disappointed with the out of box accuracy.
Thanks from me, too, for the shout out for this. I hadn’t heard of Hooper before. I bought an ADL specifically because I planned to buy aftermarket DBM.
Give him a shout, He’s on Snipers Hide as Hooper. I really like the system, works great having guns that use the same mags and ammo. Hit the range today with them both to get this one re zero’ed and checking data on the other.
That side mounted VCAS is great for position sling work. I back the slider off a tad and use the front loop, works great! I’ll get his pics soon from the work when he post them. Those flush cups won’t come out unless half of the stock comes with it:eek:
I’ve had other guns done with that mod and it is a great mod to have done.
Me personally, I prefer the low pro release lever, especially with 5round magazines. Some people have cut down the longer levers on some of the systems, depends on how you will use it.
