HOLY $#&*# LOOK WHAT I ALMOST GRABBED!

Could make for a cool logo in the hands of someone with photoshop skills.

I hate those OH SHIT moments. I was stepping out of my laundry room down into my garage and just happened to look down as I was planting my foot and saw a nice size snake. Already too far into the stride to stop I just had to straddle the thing. Thought my junk was done for.

Did a similar thing with a scorpion in the kitchen. Yelled like a little girl on that one. :o

Those situations suck.

sorry for being the nerd, but what lens/body?

Great photo Grant, now if you would have photo shopped it with an AR…

Notice how in each photo the dark spot on each eye lens is aligned with our photographer, almost like a pupil. Bizarre.

Just the way they turn their heads to watch someone around them is astounding. They have an extra degree of intelligence for sure.

Hey guys check this out.

Are you sure it’s not a minature alien sent here on a scouting mission? Just a thought. Yeah, ck out the eyes.

Weak sauce…Grant got scared of a bug…He is scouting you out Grant. Waiting for the right time to make his move. I can hear the old horror movie sound track playing in the back ground.

And +1 to COHIBA got to nuke it from orbit.

Nice camera work, Grant.

Yes, the females are usually significantly larger than the males. The best way to “sex” one for sure is to look closely at its abdomen: adult males have eight segments while females have only six. How’s that for useless knowledge?

Derek

Thank you much!

LOL, not quite. I am learning though.

Lens is a Canon 100mm MACRO.

Day for and my little friend is still hanging out in the front of the shop. I am afraid it might take one of my English Springers.

Great shots, Grant!

bad bug = smashed bug

Reminded me of this shot I saw posted on TOS today, which could make for a battle royale of epic proportions…

Grant’s little insectoid homie would win for sure…it is a much more tactical shade of FDE vs. the BLG (bright leaf green) of that one.

Besides, it’s a democrat mantis. Flamboyant colors, and it’s got it’s hands up in surrender.

very nice pics; good thinking that you took pics instead of just squashing it.

you can feed them, but they really prefer live food, so you have to be selective. good mascot for the work bench

I saw this in a magazine while waiting for a haircut a couple of weeks ago. I forgot about it until now and this just reminded me that I wanted to check it out.

Fixed…

That’s hilarious, because I actually wrote “French” first, then changed it to “Democrat”
