Suggestion for MODS … maybe combine the two threads as I suspect each will pretty much go in the same direction.
My forum experience other than looking up topics has up to this point been very minimal. As I decided to delve into these discussions I did in fact post the same topics in the forums I used to use for my research when a student would have a question. Now I’ve brought up the one that gets asked the most by my pistol students, and have posted in multiple locations to try and get the most feedback.
Again, looking for other peoples opinions, experiences, stories, etc. on this topic. I don’t know what to tell about having very few posts other than everyone starts somewhere. So I chose to go after the main topic I was starting with head on. Believe me if I can’t even do my initial post without mistakes what makes you think I could pull off a MOD?
Truly guys, I’m just looking for expansion on the topic, and hoped with an initial post like I did that to an outsider (as I mentioned I used to do) would be able to get the most from the beginning. Then we can expand on more. I truly didn’t set out to offend anyone, if it is offensive then I’ll just remove the thread. My intention of getting knowledge out, discussion in, and expand on this topic has apparently been handled very poorly so I certainly apologize as that was not the intention.
I guess what we’re curious of is what your ultimate goal is. I mean, you say you want to get knowledge out, expand the topic…
So, okay, just what is the point? Everything you posted was pretty much basic, common knowledge that someone could get quite easily.
Are you looking to discuss…the uses of holsters? the materials? people’s opinions? Or are you trying to suss out more ad copy for your holster website?
The website will get it’s advertising through ADVERTISING I use forums for information, and was hoping to do the same with these posts. If I could go back and do this all again I would have avoided bringing up my business at all. I hit the general topics so that people can find their answers in one place. I’ve never seen someone sum-up holsters like I tried to do. That’s why I tried to do it. What I’d like for these are people to give their specific examples, or for people to ask questions that delve deeper into exactly what they’re looking for so that they don’t get something they’re unhappy with. When it comes time to advertise my store I’ll do it, but the hope here is to help spread knowledge.
Simple fact, most injuries with firearms in the US are caused by pistols. Most of those injuries are caused by a person’s own pistol, and of those incidents a good chunk happens in relation to holsters. Knowledge can help cut that down, I’m sure of that.
If this thread is a problem I’ll remove it. I’ve offered the very same on the other forums as well. I didn’t set out to step on anyone’s toes or tick anyone off.
I’ve totally redone how I’m going about both my threads here. I do hope this gets better results. Thank you for your support.
Got some stats to show us?
I would wager that there are actually VERY few firearms related injuries in the US directly related to the holster itself.
This one is closed until some things can get cleared up.
