My brother has a Taurus 1911B-1 (for some reason, Taurus does not have it listed with a direct link from their website, so here’s the link to its product page… http://www.taurususa.com/products/product-details.cfm?id=60&category=Pistol), and we have been unable to find a holster to fit it properly (other than one of those really keep “universal” nylon POS’s). Has anybody found a good drop leg or chest mounted cross-draw holster that fits a 1911 with a tactical rail?
I bought one from Bladetech for my Springfield MC Operator. You have to have a light on it though.
Blade-tech, Safariland, and Comp-Tac all make railed 1911 holsters.
Sidearmor makes kydex belt holsters for railed 1911’s.
I’ve used Blade-Tech holsters for years with very good results.
