Cards / letters need to be postmarked by December 10.

I believe the deadline is due to mail screening (prevent sickos from sending hate mail).

I was at the post office today, and spoke with one of the folks there. If you are sending boxes to Afghanistan or Iraq, they recommended getting them in the mail by December 7th.
