Hogue Grip ? Probably a dumb one!

I bought a OD green Hogue grip for my last AR. I just sold it and took my grip off it. I don’t remember if it come with anything but the grip itself. Will I be able to just use the screw out of the grip in my new AR for install!

This may sound like a stupid question but I am curious because I have a MOE grip I bought for a future build and it came with a screw! Is this for any particular reason?!

I am just being cautions, can anything be damaged? What are the reasons for the MOE coming with a screw!

The MOE grip screw is shorter than the standard grip screw.

I noticed that but why! and can the Hogue just use the standard screw

Theres only one way to find out. Try it. Its just a screw…:rolleyes:

When I was using Hogue grips they all worked fine with the original LPK’s screw and star washer.

However, all the ones I’ve had required a snip of the selector spring. If I were using them again, I’d be drilling the spring hole in the grip a little deeper.

As stated, the Hogue Grip uses the original A2 Grip screw and washer.
