Fuck. 0-3.Way to start the season guys.
The Pacific division is loaded this year. Dallas is looking good, the Sharks put up 6 goals against the oilers in the first period, the kings are crazy physical, anahiem can score with anyone, and pheonix is the defending division winner. Its going to be a tight fanatic race this year.
Kill me please… Thank god I can still cheer for the ravens for the next week and a half…
Figures…now heading into the 3rd down 3-2 from 2-0.
At least they got a deal with the older Benn. Have seen Jamie (younger) a bunch of times in Cedar Park with the Texas Stars. Larsen is another, and hope he has a great NHL career as a defender.
Thinking about it I am actually glad to see Steve Ott go. Kinda a quasi goon but Jagr is a much better pick up, and adds needed maturity to the team. Morrow is meh as captain.
Wow those with GameCenter should watch the last 2 minutes of the Oilers/Kings game through the OT. No spoilers just a great hockey finish to a game. ![]()
Patrick Marleau in on FIRE! Four 2 goal games to start the year, he’s only the second player in NHL history to do that. And the Sharks are up 3-0 over the Avs at the start of the 2nd.
LETS GO BLUES!!!
Just to rub it in a little for you Washington Choker fans.
GO PENS!!!
Texas Stars…lol Won against San Antonio 4-1. Dallas Stars… Texas Stars are #1 in the Western Division AHL. Had a good time at the game!

I remember when they used to be the Minnesota North Stars.

Good seats!!
Texas Stars with their win last night are now leading the points count in the AHL. Very cool.
Dallas has the talent but I think the coaching is screwing things up. They keep putting Morrow in on PP chances and the guy sucks anymore. He has been injured a bunch and is slow. I know he is the team captain but they need to focus a bit more on their younger talent at this point.
I actually prefer seats a bit higher up because at 4 rows off the glass it’s hard to see down the rink. Where we were I was having to look through the visitors bench a lot. But I had my twins with me and like having the glass in front of us for when pucks come up into the stands. I’ve seen two people hit by pucks including a little girl. Can’t pay attention 100% of the time. I also nearly took a foul tip at a Round Rock Express baseball game. Just outside the net behind home and one came back HARD. Nailed an old lady in the seat below me bad. I am extra wary with the little guys with me with where I get tickets. Sitting higher up you don’t have to look through the benches or penalty boxes on the other side.

The new Gamecenter app for PS3 is out now.
Looks like you had some good seats for the Texas game. Rink looks about the same size as the Wranglers rink at the Orleans.
The PS3 app is junk so far. The frame rate is so low hard passes and shots make the puck disappear. It also says two of the Stars games from last week are under blackout and in the same message it says blackouts are for 48hrs after the game completion. Well last week is much more than 48hrs ago. Video quality looks to be under 720p with some pixelation. Internet connection is fine on my end with about 20mbps.
Overall with all the blackouts and video quality I wish I could get my money back. Blackouts are stupid anyways. The last stars game was not nationally televised and the location blackouts are stupid. Ain’t going to go drive 3hrs each way and pay $300 for 4 seats because I can’t watch the game live on TV. They are blacking out games from teams over 1000 miles away, too.

yeah, never understood the blackouts when I’m in Hawaii. I haven’t tried the new app yet, but I was able to watch the blackout games that same night with the previous gamecenters.
Glad to see Nathan Horton is back on the ice for the Bruins and playing well after his head injuries. Blackhawks are playing good hockey for sure.
I didn’t want to start a new thread since this one is only a few months expired.
What are your predictions for this year? I think it will be a lot like last year. I think Chicago is going to be a tough team to contend with. If Pittsburgh can stay healthy, I think they could make a good run into the post season. I think the cup will be Chicago vs either Pittsburgh or NY Rangers.
I just wish Columbus could actually put together a good squad for once. It would be nice to see an Ohio team actually do something for once.
Chicago and Boston might be in it again. I’m still hoping San Jose can figure out how to win in the playoffs. LA, Pittsburgh, and Detroit will be contenders as well.
At least your team has made an appearance in the post season. I’m still trying to wrap my head around Columbus’ decision to trade Rick Nash to NY. At least I still have the Blackhawks and Bruins to look forward to.
So the Sharks just put up 9 on the Rangers, and rookie Hertl has 6 goals in two games. He may be the Rookie of the year, and the sharks may be the nhl version of the denver broncos this year.
