Guys, I would really like to see CTC make a laser unit for the HK45 and/or HK P30 series of pistols. I emailed CTC and they said that new products are produced on the amount of user request they get on a specific product, so I am asking for your help. Follow the link and ask for CTC to make a laser for us HK guys.
Hope this works! the non availability of CT grips for HKs is the biggest reason that I don’t own any HK pistols yet. If they come out with a great integrated backstrap model like the M&P line I’m a definite buyer.

*BTW, there is a thread on the CT forum about this very topic: http://forums.crimsontrace.com/index.php?topic=34774.0 Unfortunately, one of the moderators (Ashley on 5/05/10) indicated that the HK45c laser grip did not get into the 2010 project board, she didn’t say anything about the HK45/P30/P2000 but I’m not very optimistic for this year
How so? Strikes me some sort of backstrap replacement would work perfectly. They could even be awesome about it and make different sized ones to match the options available with the stock grip panels.
On the strong side of the weapon its slide stop is raised enough that the laser would have to stick out more than the ones I have or have seen in the past. It would also have to be shorter in length because you have exactly one inch of space behind the slide stop and less than a 1/2" of space to work with…
I could be wrong but that is my observation after holding it and looking at where it “might” be placed…
Hell, even a unit that mounts to the front of the triggerguard like the LCP or the S&W Sigma would be better than nothing. I think it is do-able, if they want to do it.
I concur, though I think it would have to be redesigned significantly since the HKs have those paddle mag releases under the trigger guard. My laser guard on my G26 extends continuouesly under the trigger guard all the way to the grip and “grabs” the whole trigger guard. If they were to do this with the HK it would hinder the magazine release. I think CT could possibly work around this but a LG417 type array like others have stated may be more workable.
