HK416C finally on HK's website

Looks neat. I’m really curious about the shooting characteristics.

The HK416 already has a thumping recoil impulse, and with the 416C having very little buffer travel, it will be interesting to see how it shoots

Sweet Jesus! The stock looks bad ass.

Holy shit. I really want a 10.5 version of that.

Actually, I want an HK-416C stock system available commercially.

11.5 KAC gun + 416C stock system drool

The meat grinder stock returns, to grind some more meat.

It’s H&K, so it probably won’t be sold to civilians.

Stock design is interesting, but I don’t really see the point unless you’re having a 5 year old shoot it.

The stock is fully retracted in that picture, and obviously you can extend it to a proper LOP. It’s to make it easier to conceal and carry in tight spaces. It’s not designed for a 5 year old shooter.

that is awesome, I would love one but probably wont ever sell them and the few that leak from PDs and whatnot will probably go for around 1k

That may be the flimsiest stock design I’ve ever seen.

I’m also not a fan of how it’ll obviously interfere with manipulation of the safety/selector when in the collapsed position.

That is one awesome looking carbine. I’d definately buy one. However, do you really think H&K would put out a civilian version for the US market?

have you ever shot a HK with a retractable stock of similar design? also how exactly does it interfere with the selector? it appears to have plenty of room to “flick it” with your thumb.

I have not. But I would point out that previous H&K stocks had much thicker “support bars”

“also how exactly does it interfere with the selector? it appears to have plenty of room to “flick it” with your thumb.”

Might just be me, I have serious “hitchhikers thumb” as well as large hands and can guarantee it’d get in my way, others may fare better.

I’m guessing that it will be pretty durable. It not only has the sliding portion around the buffer tube, but the additional collapsing bars on the sides. Three anchor points of retraction. It’s all speculation of course…

It’s just the bars when extended.

Ahhh…my bad. You’re right, it does look a little flimsy. :frowning:

Hot Dang:p…that is damn near MP-7 sexy.

I am pretty much the last guy to criticize something for the way it looks without shooting it, but that stock looks like something scraped out of a 19-year-old ghetto hooker’s womb. Having spent some time with the original meat grinder, that thing doesn’t look like anything close to comfortable to me.

I agree with CTex, that stock looks MEGA Flimsy!

What was the “meat grinder” on before? I’ve never heard the term until this thread.

I’ve never encountered the term either, but I’m almost certain they’re referring to the collapsible stocks found on the G3 and MP5 series weapons.

Pretty much. Though, I’ve generally referred to it as the meat tenderizer.
