Dealer on Facebook is claiming that the new HK VP40 is shipping today from HKO, is this fact or is this guy just talking? Any dealers on here have any information about this?
That would be the first I’ve heard of it. Why make one in .40 before giving us the gift of a VP9c… If it’s true then once again HK makes no sense.
Well, one would think that from a manufacturing standpoint a .40 model would be the simplest and most expedient in coming to market.

40 = tits on boar to me. I can understand why it would come as the simplicity of the caliber update makes it a logical next step. Would have preferred a compact or sub compact, but I’m a sample of 1. Gimme a 10 or 45; now that would interest me.
Taz, the VP45 is most likely the next step I would imagine.
Would much rather see a VP45 before a VP40, but that’s just like, my opinion, man.
The VP9 already has little more muzzle jump than I’d like, compared to its Peers… a VP40? No way. Not for me. Although, I’m thankful that I am not forced to run a .40
I bet these will sell well. There are still a lot of people out there that love the .40 round.
Also these would make an excellent USPSA Limited Class gun…

Not with that wimpy 13 round mag. It’ll never hold up to a Glock or STI.
If its real it makes sense, an easy model to make compared to an all new model like a 45 (which I think will be a WHILE off).
Next up hopefully a VP9/40C that is P2000 sized. Don’t need to do an SK since the SK P30 just came out.
Maybe they prioritized this model to make a dent in the M&P .40SW LEO sales?
The HK VP series is considerably cheaper than all the other HK’s.
Shop around, some of their other models have dropped in price. I’m torn between a P2000, or getting the P30sk.

I still think the Glock 22 reigns supreme when it comes to LEO firearms chambered in 40.
That’s why I started this thread. A dealer said that they were being shipped to his store today.
Right… and I was asking for proof from HK, like an official Press Release or Statement.
Supposedly the picture I posted earlier was from HK. The dealer said it was his brochure from them. He claims they shipped today, but other than that I have no real proof. I was hoping one of the dealers on here would chime in and confirm or deny
