HK 417?

NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) soldiers help their wounded colleague after exchanging fire with attackers outside a building of a logistics company working with NATO forces on the outskirts of Herat city on November 3, 2011. Two Afghan guards were killed in an assault on a logistics company working with NATO forces in western Afghanistan, police said on November 3, adding that all the attackers had been killed.

yup looks like a 417.
italian SF have been using HKs for a while now but the M4 and G3 series are still the standard issued weapons

here is a 416 in Astan

and this one may be 417 during a parade in 2010

Yes, HK417 with 12.5" barrel in DMR configuration. Looks like weapon of wounded Italian soldier.

It looks like this: http://www.laruetactical.com/aimpoint-micro-t-1-w-lt696-acog-qd-mount-combo

It looks like that LaRue ACOG/T1 mount thing they sold which has the 4 vertical cutouts with the T1 on top and the ACOG below.

The optic on the 417 is a Short-Dot with LT mount, too.

thats a sweet setup on the 417, hopefully hk will get the civilian ones on the market this year-and if so hopefully it doesnt break the bank too bad

Oh, it will definately break the bank. Probably in the $3500+ range. However, you’re getting a firearm from one of the few firearms companies that strives for excellence in engineering now days. You’re getting a production firearm that borderlines on custom level design, materials, and quality overall.

Ok thanks guys I think your right
