HK 416 vs Noveske afghan

Which would you choose and why? Which weapon is more durable and reliable? Which is more accurate? Who makes the better gun?

HK is expensive… that’s pretty much it… if you are looking to run f/a from a 10.4" barrel, all day every day… then the HK 416 is the proven choice… but you are going to pay 2X more for just the 416 upper than you will for the entire Noveske rifle…

HK makes a good product… and they know it… and they also know the public wants it because they keep it out of our hands… thus driving up their profit margin… kinda like that bitch in high school you knew… the one that was shit hot and knew it… and made everyone else want her…

if money were no factor I would go with the HK… but my last name is not Gates, Branson, or Buffet so therefore I’ll stick to the $2,500 for an entire 5.56 rifle price point… instead of 4k for just the upper…

you can purchase an MR556… pull the barrel… machine off the very small tab that prevents the use of a 416 F/A bolt carrier… throw in a 416 carrier and thus you have pretty much the exact same thing… for 1/2 the price

half way down…

Really? One of these threads?

OP,

Please tell us the following.

  1. What is your experience with the AR system?

  2. What do you know about pistons?

  3. Where are you going to buy an HK416?

Have you even bothered to read anoy of the umpteen threads here concerning DI vs. piston? There are numerous ones here.

Oh shit, for some reason I was under the impression the hk was a lot less, but I just saw the upper was over 4,000, which is out of the question

For 99% of all civilian shooters, a 416 would be a gratuitous waste of money.

Complete truth. I heard it was the gun that killed Bin Laden, and I don’t think I’ll be the next superhuman of seal team six.

Where did you read this?

its DEVGRU… not ST6… at least until their new name is relased… and SEAL is capitalized because it is an acronym and a badge of honor for a certain few.

does it really matter what gun killed UBL?.. if it had been a Desert Eagle or a Judge… would you wan’t one of those? because I heard it was one of them that got him… the blast wave is good when clearing rooms… stuns the target… plus if you miss you can still wound them with the concussion

It wouldn’t matter if it was a piece of poop that killed bin laden, I was just pointing it out that that was what I heard. And I am sorry if you were offended by not using caps on SEAL, I probably won’t make the same mistake again

I think they are two wildly different guns with different uses (users) in mind.

Kind of like comparing a SR15E3 to a Larue 5.56 OBR. Both quality, but very different.

The SNR has definitely degraded in the last few months (facepalm)

It’s been like chasing down children at Disney Land. One minute it’s, “Would an Olympia or DPMS be OK?” and the next, “Well, what about a Noveske or Knights Armament?” Or, “How about Full-Auto?” The advice to “Read a Sticky or use the Search Button”? Ain’t happening from what I can see. I wonder what the next six months will bring. Good luck everyone. :help:

What kind of thread is this you headed to Afghanistan as an private armed contractor. With the choice to choose your own PEZ dispenser

I heard a parrot killed UBL, so I’m going to buy one of those. That’ll be pretty  (ninja)

I would have to bring along the KAC SR-16 if i was heading over there and had my choice of PEZ dispenser

the best part of the article OP listed is this

“I’ve just heard from a SOCOM vet,” says Military Times “He tells me the stack of SEAL assaulters from Red team that went through Osama bin Laden’s bedroom door were running HK416s.”

arent the Times like the Enquiror?

At least this topic didn’t start off with “school me”…gah.

That shit makes baby Jesus cry.

hahaha, now I know what not to ask about in this forum
