WASHINGTON - Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton said Sunday she might be willing to garnish the wages of workers who refuse to buy health insurance to achieve coverage for all Americans.
The New York senator has criticized presidential rival Barack Obama for pushing a health plan that would not require universal coverage. Clinton has not always specified the enforcement measures she would embrace, but when pressed on ABC’s “This Week,” she said: “I think there are a number of mechanisms” that are possible, including “going after people’s wages, automatic enrollment.”
Clinton said such measures would apply only to workers who can afford health coverage but refuse to buy it, which puts undue pressure on hospitals and emergency rooms. With her proposals for subsidies, she said, “it will be affordable for everyone.”
I saw a bumper sticker the other day that read “Vote for Hillary…it sure beats working” I thought it pretty much summed up her attitude. I guess if she gets elected, she’ll have to garnish my welfare check because I may just stop working to test her social theories:rolleyes: :o
Of course, she would have to introduce the legislation and get it to pass the House and Senate. Very doubtful that it would happen. But these are strange days so I’ll have to throw in my disclaimer and not rule anything out.
I remember working in a factory in the seventies anybody remember them - the seventies ? Driving a tow motor feeding parts the production floor ,Killark Electric MFG Co next time your outside look at the electrical fitting on the building chances are it’ll be Killark (now a Hubble Co) and I was in the Machinists Union and there was talk at a meeting one night of female machine operators and all the old cronys went ape shit … all assuming they would have to do the females job for them all assuming they owned everything there old guys you’d meet them and rather than there name they’d say “I been here 42 years…” - jeez christ it was MACHISMO in its rudest form …and who cared ? Then he’d say " I aint lifting that for her."
And nobody asked them to but we did because we are American Males the best in the world and were taught by our Fathers how to treat a lady but we are being thinned out due to the power of deleted for offensive term we are selling our souls for it and Hillary may be the end result.
I mean think about it all we’re doing is fueling this supposed POWER the females in our life use to control us with and imparting it in atomic proportions to a hypothetical situation which is Hillary gets elected President. And if she does which I doubt and wants to garnish some deleted offensive word wages because he aint carrying elective insurance for his kids and its payroll deduction guess what she hasn’t mentioned one word about coming after my guns so maybe we shouldn’t tell anyone .
i wonder what connection she has with doctors and hospitals ? if she were elected and forces the people to buy med coverages that will benifit doctors and hospitals cause they will be paid for services that they sometime did not.

Dude, this is way, way, WAY more complicated than that. Everyone I know in healthcare hates this idea.
When you’re buying health insurance, you’re not paying the doctors and hospitals, you’re paying the insurance companies. Just look how a lot of docs in MA are refusing to play along, and are simply not taking on any new patients rather than dealing with the influx of people required to buy crappy insurance.
The driving force here isn’t business profits for someone or other, it’s leftists with a hard-on for “fairness” at all costs, with increased dependency on the state as a bonus gimme.
The medical community is NOT for this! My wife works at the national level for a medical professional association and has a sister that is a physician and I have never heard of any health professional who supports this type of policy.
Any type of nationalized health care will destroy the American medical system. My sister runs nursing homes and speaks to doctors from all over our district on a weekly basis.
There seems to be three basic responses from the doctors.
I will retire and use my degrees for something else. This is generally from the older doctors who have some financial security.
I will go BK, let them take care of my school loans along with the ‘medical’ expenses of everyone. This is generally from the younger doctors who are still working to dig their way out from under their $250,000 + school debt.
I will move back to my home country, they at least appreciate my knowledge.
WHy would you become a doctor if you have to deal with a government bureaucrat to get anything approved?
