TL;DR:

All optics lived a life of abuse.

Eotechs went through batteries and would randomly quit working.

Aimpoints had a (seemingly) infinite battery life. They were all beat up but never failed, the ones that were pulled from the range were ones that lost their battery covers. The ones that lost their adjustment covers never lost zero.

Their “compact” 4x ACOG fogged up. They bought it used off of AR15.com

Range owner contacted Eotech, Aimpoint, and Trijicon with the issues experienced and what they were used for. Aimpoint and Trijicon repaired/rebuilt their optics for free, they all came back looking brand new. Eotech quoted them a price that made them decide to just buy new models.
