Here it comes...knife control in Boston.

The US murder rate is 55 per million, according to the FBI*. Scotland Glasgow had one of the highest murder rates in Western Europe at 58.7 per million. They have strict guns laws, and a “knife culture” that seems to have no problems killing more people than we do per capita. To learn more about their “knife culture” see:

Guess what, they can claim a low death rate by guns too…

  • = may have changed since last I checked.

I kinda figured that was coming…

Unfortunately, the way liberals think and do, this could spread to other states. All the touchy, feely rhetoric is there.

Just one problem with that.

I might want to visit Boston one day, historic founding city of interest that it is, and as a free citizen I shouldn’t expect to be denied very fundamental rights simply because I crossed a state line. I didn’t even get a say in those elections.

I think if you want to ban knives, you should have to move to England.

I share your concerns:

Please don’t take this wrong . IMO , the trend is the other way around . They are losing . We are winning . I can’t talk details , but the impression that I have gathered is that defensive knife laws are steadily being reformed & clarified. So let the Ba-Bah-stan azhats bleat all they want . It’s free advertising for the good guys – people get to see how stupid the knife-grabbers really are.
This is coming from a guy who carried a large shaving sharp ( think Bear Razorhead & Lansky sharping rig – 30 degrees of bacon , polish w/ 1k ) hunting style knife from time to time. Including on Amtrack from Benning to Maine with a couple of switches in NYC – with the NYPD street bums ( etc ) doing the EOD check thing in a a locker room at a train/bus station… Long story - out of time.

When the English banned my Irish ancestors from possessing firearms and blades in the 19th century they began to carry a sail éille or “walking stick”.

If one can successfully ban from possession all firearms, lethal cutting instruments, bludgeoning devices, and man portable rocks and stones then you are at the least still left with bare hands which are more than capable of maiming and killing.

How about banning criminals?
