Guys who have hit me up in reference to the thread about the woman in GA who shot an intruder. I appreciate it very much. This is a great opportunity for us here to put our time and knowledge to use. Regardless of our political leanings, beliefs,… or whatever we stand for, we all are experienced and knowledgable with guns. We all have someone who lives near us like the family in that thread. If you want to help someone out and try to cemet the image of a gun owner as the caring neighbor next door, take action to those near you. Ask everyone you deal with do they need or want to get a gun. There are tons on people whom you have contact with everyday who are affraid in todays world, want to take that step, but don’t know how to or where to start.
Your hair salons and restaurants are FULL of single moms who have a mostly cash income and are prime targets for robbery. There are tons of elderly folks whom are stuck in the hood for income reasons. It wasn’t the hood when then moved there, but it is now and one of the more horrible crimes in my opinion is when these folks are assaulted, beaten, robbed by hoodlums with no morals at all, many times for kicks. Instead of sending $50 to LAV for the pistol we discussed, put that toward an NRA Instructor Class & get the certs so you can get insurance to cover your tail and I promise there will be no shortage of folks in your area to help. I appreciate all whom jump onboard with these type efforts, even if we squabble here, you still will not find a better, more willing to step up and help community than the gun community. You guys make me proud.
