I need help the closest 100yd rifle range from atlanta where I live is an hour and a half away.
I would love to sight my brand new Daniel Defense Rifle in next week but the best close option for is an indoor rifle range with a 32 yard lane.
It is a very nice range…
What can I do to get sighted in for out to 100 yards without really going to a 100 yard range???
Well the end result might not be pretty at that range for reasons I am sure others can go into better detail about but if you want to get some sort of basic sighting done first decide what trajectory you want to go with (25/300ish, 50/200ish, 100ish, etc) then what distance you want to try and use. Obviously some people sight in POA=POI at 25yards and they like it and its in the instructions for the DDM4 last I checked, but if you want POA=POI at 100 you will need to be about 1.75" low at 25 and for a 200 yard its more like -1.5" which kinda shows the great possibility for error at these close ranges.
It won’t be pretty or perfect :bad: but if you really want to try and have something then you might want to just go for -1.5~-1.75 at 25 yards until you can get to a longer range. Or just go with the small aperture up and do POA=POI at 25 like the DDM4 manual.
edit: shit i’m thinking about rds elevation clicks lol
Read this thread thoroughly before spending the time and ammo to zero your rifle.

That said, I set up my DD with a 25/300 yard zero.
I’ve had to do this as well, based on the charts posted you could adjust at 25 yds and try to get as close as possible to a 100 rnd zero

I’d demo a Search using the keyword ‘zeros’ just to show how easy it is, but it’s Saturday…
