Help with new upper

Looking to get a new upper. I’m between the Troy 16" M7 or a BCM BHF 16". Also, is the extra cost of a free float rail worth it over a MOE handguard?

Side info, I’ve already got a KAC SR15 and a armalite ar15. The purchase is simply to find a home for a orphaned lower.

I’d go with a BCM + Magpul furniture and do a K.I.S.S. set-up. Add a light, sling, buis and call it good.
