help with aimpoint PRO

i just got my aimpoint PRO installed on my noveske. range trip yesterday i failed to get it to zero. what i was doing is when i hit paper i measure elevation and windage and adjust the aimpoint accordingly the aimpoints dot seems to stay the same/not moving atleast that what it looks like or em i just imagining this. so got home and removed the upper placed it on a vise went with old school boresight placed a dot about 25 feet away lined up the bore then lined up the iron sights to the point of impact got that done cool, but when i try to line up the RDS to the point of impact it doesnt got there am i missing something here? while looking at the RDS shoudnt it travel to the point of impact? please help.

Do you mean 25 yards? I’m no expert, but there may not be enough adjustment in the optic to get it low enough for a 25’ zero. I may be wrong though.

the distance from the kitchen table to the last door i can find sorry i had to improvice.

I would recommend at 50 yard zero. My home range only has a 25 yard bay for rifle, but there is a pretty good target I’ve used at 25 yards to give a 50 yd zero. the target also has adjustment values for different optics (eotech, aimpoint etc.) I could email you a copy if you’d like.
What kind of range access do you have?

indoor i have a 25 yard access, outdoor 50 to 100 yards. if you dont mind please meail my the adjustment values thanks here is my email address: jcubacub@comcast.net

email and pm sent

thank you

it looks like this.

Mine looks like this when I’m not looking through the rear Iron Site Aperture](http://img25.imageshack.us/i/reddot008.jpg/) Uploaded with ImageShack.us[/IMG]
And it looks like this when I am looking through the aperture](http://img696.imageshack.us/i/reddot010.jpg/) Uploaded with ImageShack.us[/IMG]
Could that be the problem?

wnen im looking with just the rds and FFS its close to yours, when i use the RBUS my red dot is higher.

Don’t have an Aimpoint.PRO, but this is how it looks like with Rear Sight up:

And with Rear Sight down:

This is pretty much the “sight picture(?)” I get when I look through the Aimpoint.ML3.

looking at both of you guys pics i am doing something very wrong.

if you guys dont mind berify these real quick

sight is from a authorized dealer brand new.

already mounted out of the box i did not change this or should i?

mounted on the front end of the rail behind delta ring.

front fix sight rear flip up back up sights both are factory mounted.

used level on rail before mounting scope

front and rear sight point of impact same as bore

is there something different you guys did to mount your RDS>

Are you using the factory mount that doesn’t elevate the aimpoint at all or did you get a mount that gives you a lower 1/3 co-witness or an absolute.

I think you will like the 50 yd zero. On my 16" bbl I have a zero at 50yd and fall of 1/2 ’ at 200 yd with 55 gr FMJ .223.

mine looks like mooks also.

I recently bought/sighted in a PRO. I noticed that, out of the box, the supplied mount provided an absolute cowitness, and the dot was somewhat off from the iron sights. I tried moving stuff around to match the dot to the BUIS, but this didn’t really get me anywhere. Went to the range, started firing groups and making adjustments, and it all eventually lined back up.

Somebody correct me if I’m wrong (this is my first time using a RDS); I assume that when looking through the optic towards a fixed front sight WITH THE REAR SIGHT UP, the dot should be exactly in line with the sights. When the rear is folded down, you can move your head slightly and the dot will move to point of impact on target.

Hope you get it figured out. Personally, I love the PRO. Ditto on the 50 yard zero; seems practical for my AR use.

Mine have never been exactly in line with front sight but it is pretty close. I zero the irons and red dots separately.

I just got one of these and its my first Aimpoint.

Is it normal to not see ANY dot on settings 1 thru 6?

I believe the first four clicks are night vision settings.

Normal.
