Help! Which rail for my new SBR?

I need a little assistance, I have a couple of 16" rifles that I have the Daniel Defense 12" Lite rails on:

and I have just purchased an LMT 10.5" upper for my new SBR from the good folks at Bravo Company today!!

I am trying to find the longest rail possible (I will be milling off the front sight post, and using a flip up on the rail), that will still allow me to add a Noveske KX3 or a suppressor.

I am thinking about the Daniel Defense 9.0 Lite rail as I really like the 12 rails above, but it still leaves 1.5" of barrel, and I thought I had found the perfect rail in the Daniel Defense MK18 RIS II but it doesn’t look like they make the damn thing in black and I really was hoping for an all black rifle.

I saw Robb’s thread swapped rails on my 10.5" SBR and the MK18 RIS II would be perfect if it was black… is the longest I can get in black the 9" lite rail?

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Cameron

Best thing to do right now is call Daniel Defense and see what they have and what’s in the pipeline. Sometimes they have runs of rails that you won’t see on the site.

U can go for the Daniel Defense M4 10.0 (mid) or the Daniel Defense Lite 10.0 (mid). Check out Rainier Arms and see all the D.D. stuff. I know the D.D. M4 10.0 is in stock atm.

G-luck

Thanks I never realized they had a 10" Lite rail, as it’s not on DD’s site.

Thanks for the info.

Yes, DD Makes a 10" Lite rail; I have one on my 16" Carbine.

However, it won’t fit on a 10.5" Noveske barrel, at least if you want to be able to mount a suppressor on it as well. If you don’t plan on a suppressor, then the 10" rail should be OK.

I bought my 10" rail for my SBR at first; I ended up with a MK18 RIS II rail for it, since my M4-2000 is of little use otherwise.

And no, I’ve never seen one in black either. Last I checked, DD wound run them in black, if you bought a few hundred units. I bought a FDE pistol-grip and stock instead.

I called DD and spoke with one of the guys, (great customer service BTW) and I am going with the 10" Lite rail.

The KX3 will be slightly covered by the end of the rail and I will have to use a slip wrench to tighten the flash hider as the rail will cover the flats.

I will order the rail and KX3 today.
