Tried that already. For some reason my phone is malf’ing. Can’t get the pic gallery to even show with those methods either. Damnit.
Its not just you. I’ve never been able to post pics from a phone either. I do it from home on a laptop. I like tinypic.com for this. No accounts, no hassles. Just upload any size photo, and then copy/paste the IMG code into your forum post.

It appears to be tooling marks on the front lug of the KAC E3 bolt. Most likely a non-issue, but he has been advised to contact KAC regarding the issue.

Machining marks for sure, the wear is likely from cycling the bolt
Tool marks, unlikely to cause problems except for the person in KAC’s QC department who overlooked it.
Doubtfully a problem unless there is a raised burr above material surface on bolt face. This to me could cause improper headspace. But without handling your bolt, I could only recommend sending it back to the MFG. You paid for quality, and didn’t receive it, therefore you shouldn’t have to accept rough parts.
On issues like this it’s kinda like saying "does this look infected? Dude it’s a picture, let someone who made it take a look…no one can look at your bolt picture and tell if its going to be good to go or cause problems.
I’d also think you have a stress riser in the material grain from being notched. I’d suspect a high round count to end with a sheared bolt lug.
I see a pretty good dent in that lug. I would think it would weaken that lug. I sure wouldn’t be happy about that on my 250$ bolt, I would send it back.
I looks like it should function fine, but I do think some life has been taken off that bolt.
They are not machining marks. It looks like someone took a cold chisel to the lug. I doubt it will hurt anything but you paid for quality and you should get it. That part of the bolt is under no stress at all. The back and root of the lugs take the force, not the front.
Corners cause cracks. Even tiny corners. That lug is not as strong as its neighbors when it comes to fatigue. I would politely explain the issue and get a swap.
I agree with Tim and WS6. It looks like the lug has been battered and the marks do indeed create stress risers. It may not cause problems in practical terms but it would be best to contact KAC and avail yourself of their excellent customer service
I don’t see it as being a major problem but would surely get it replaced if the company will do it. The problem I see is with the ejector. It appears to have a nub in the center that could have problems with the bolt rotating and shaving brass during use. I would diffinently get that removed. I personally round the corner and buff to a mirror shine the ejectors on all of my bolts, but I am pretty anal about my guns.
I wouldn’t have even noticed it.
