If you already have a high quality semi-auto carrier, I wouldn’t replace it. If you have a no-name BCG, then yes, it would be more important for longevity and reliability.
The buffer and muzzle device will do more to tame the carbine.

It’s a stag model 3 upper don’t think it’s too high quality
If by chance you bought the “Plus” package you have a fine upper with a 1/7 twist barrel a HP-MP tested bolt and an M16 carrier.
Nope a standard and a 1to9 twist
5.56X45/.223 and Recoil??? This is an oxymoron I believe, now my .375s and .458s have Recoil…haha:p
