Help! Need tactical soft case/drag bag advice

I’m hoping the best and brightest can help me. I am looking for a high quality soft case/drag bag that can hold TWO scoped semi autos (16" lightweight Noveske and 18" SPR). I recently bought a 36" voodoo tactical bag, but was disappointed after the shoulder straps kept coming loose and coming off the buckle. Not impressed, so looking for a high quality bag, but with these requirements:

  1. must hold BOTH scoped ARs with enough padding to protect expensive optics.
  2. must have shoulder straps- two straps w/ pads to use as backpack.
  3. must be very durable
  4. ideally, priced under $200, but willing to pay a bit more for quality.

Any ideas?

I’d personally look at some of the higher quality makers.

Tactical Tailor has their covert rifle case in a double model. I own a 5 year old single that has a huge (annoying) zipper pouch on the outside, and one of their latest singles. The newest iteration is very nice. Plenty of padding, rigid enough, very well made, and the d ring placement on the back allows you to run two straps off it so you can carry it like a back pack.

Another one to look at is the iShot Sert. Will also hold two rifles and has the centered d rings on the back for twin shoulder strap placement. Never used one but look at the reviews here on m4c.

Many will recommend eagle if you can find one in stock. Perhaps check Natchez. I have no personal experience with eagle cases.

Never mind. I obviously didn’t read the entire post, Voodoo in my experience is the best option.

No offense, but did you actually read the OP? He bought a voodoo tactical bag and didn’t like it, and wants other recommendations.

Ha! Nope, completely missed that…I skimmed and read the requirements…Thanks for pointing out my lack of reading skills.

The 5.11 Tactical 42" Double Rifle Case may be what you are looking for. I don’t have one but a guy that I shoot with does. He really likes his and it has held up well over the year and a half or so that he has had it. I don’t think that it is still in production but it looks as though this place still has some in stock:

Highly reccomend this bag from LBT. 2 Rifles will fit but it does not have 2 dedicated compartments.

Not sure about this website but you can order straight from London Bridge Trading.

I have drug this bag through the suck and beat the hell out of it and it keeps holding up.

Are you actually wanting to drag it?

Thanks all for the suggestions. I really appreciate it.

The ishot looks to be the closest in terms of meeting my criteria. However, it looks to be a little tight when trying to fit 2 scoped ARs. The pictures they show are of 1 AR w/ optic and the other without. Does anyone have experience with the ishot SERT holding 2 ARs w/ optics?

Just use the outer pocket for your second rifle (length permitting). You may consider the 42" model for this purpose.
