Help me decide

Greetings! Newbie here in this wonderful forum and have been lurking for awhile now. Wondering if anyone can help me decide on which shotgun to buy for HD. I own handguns but never a shotgun. I have an opportunity to buy either a police trade-in 12ga Remi 870P Magnum or a like new (shot 7x) Benelli Nova pump shotgun. The price on both are identical ($300 OTD + transfer fees). The shotgun would be primarily be for HD and some range shooting.

I really like the feel and look on the 870’s wood furniture but at the same time can’t get pass the “like new” condition and look of the Benelli. I know I can’t go wrong with either, but if you can sway me either way and tell me why it would be greatly appreciated!:cool:

Whenever somebody asks which shotgun, it tends to go 45% 870, 45% 590, 10% everything else. I dunno much about the Benelli, but I do know the 870 is a serious weapon with a long history of use, so that’s what I’d go with.

LOL…good decision ! Would have done the same.

Now sell them as a package and purchase a Benelli M4 from Buds.
