I am in the market for a new black rifle and am new to the game. I am interested in the gas piston design as I understand they run cleaner. Being new to this market, I would like to know the pros and cons of various rifles and designs. I am considering the Z-M LR300, Robarms, POF etc. If anyone has suggestions please give me your advice. Thanks.
Nothing wrong with DI, IMO. You just need to know how to lube the AR and you’ll be fine.
If you’re looking for Gas Piston though I’d look into LWRC.
I would buy an LWRC, but I would only recommend a piston gun if you are shooting full auto, suppressed, or with an SBR.
I watched a guy’s suppressed, SBR, LWRC choke repeatedly last week. :eek:

I was going to recommend waiting for the ACR, but I figured that he really wanted an AR platform, and since the 416 is unobtanium for reasonable price. . .
(ETA- was the issue with the LWRC ever identified?)
Used mainly for target, varmint. and home defense. Something easy to carry while walking. Nothing more than $2500. Thanks.
