This will be used on a light .308 rifle 22" barrel. Currently I have a Trijicon TR 21 amber triangle. I love how the Bidon system (works great for my eyes) works close in on moving targets but I am disappointed by the lack of any hold over ability that pretty much limits my shots to 300 yds or less.
I know the above are both high end scopes with excellent glass and rugged construction.
I am looking for the greatest versatility. from 25-50 yard shots at moving targets to precision shots at longer range.
How are these in low light? How visible is the illumination in daylight? How is the battery life on both?
With the Valdada being set up for 5.56 at 62 gr. how close to .308 150 gr. will it be out at 600 yds?
While I know the Nightforce LV reticule is + - .75 inch out to 600 yds for the 150 gr. loads I will be using I’m wondering how effective is it at 2.5X for moving targets at 25 to 50 yds
Assuming in daylight the illumination is turned up to max and the magnification is at minimum. Which is better close in?
Assuming the illumination is low or off, which is better at long range with the magnification at maximum?
