Help me Choose a Scope

Hi all I currently am using a Trijicon Accupoint TR-21, 1.25 - 4X scope on my Ultralight Arms bolt action rifle. While it works GREAT out to 300 yds, beyond that it is fairly useless.

Having tried my TA33 equipped AR out to 600 yds. with great success I now want to have similar capabilities with my .308.

I am looking for a scope with the following characteristics:

Price: Ideally under $ 500 but I am flexible.

.308 BDC reticule good out to at least 600 yds.

Illuminated reticule, preferably daylight visible.

Variable power I would prefer a 1X (but can live with up to a 3X) to at least 4X but I can go higher.

Mountable in either 1" or 30 mm rings. This will be put on a bolt action rifle so ACOGs are out due to mounting restrictions.

Please advise.

In your price range I would take a look at Vortex opticts… I saw their wares at SHOT and they had a few products that may fill your needs…

The 1-4 Viper PST looks interesting. In the MRAD version it’s definitely a contender at this point.

I have the 1-4 MOA Vortex on backorder - Vortex Sam says they may be in the US about June. If it works as advertised the 2.5-10x44 might be worth considering for a longer range scope. I wish the 2.5-10 had a smaller (x34 or so) objective lens, however for AR use.
