hello to all & a question...

I am a new guy to this site and I like what I see. Allow me to run one by you. I run LMT flat uppers with LMT A2 rear sights. For close work I run a 552 on a larue QD. All of my stuff cowitnesses in the lower 1/3. If I were going to run a 4x scout scope on a Larue SPR/M4(LT 135) QD mount would I have to remove the rear sight or would I be able to work around it. I believe the scope QD is 1.93" tall from the rail. Obviously eye relief would play a role. LMT rear sight measures about 1 5/8" high at the rail. Anyone ever run this combo before? Thanks for you assistance…

I have not run this set up, but if you are going to run a 4X scope I would seriously consider using a troy flip-up rear. You don’t want anything blocking your view on 4X- your eye may not focus on your target as fast in certain situations;)

You’ll have to remove the LMT sight, as it does not fold down to allow the scope to sit far enough back to get the proper eye relief. I run the same setup with a LMT A2 and a 552. I wanted to be able to throw an ACOG on there but am unable to without removing the LMT first. I run the LMT so I can have the elevation available for long distance shooting practice and I haven’t gotten anything different yet. You’ll have to look at what you want to use most.

Roger that and thanks for the help…
